En este estudio se analizan los efectos de la administración de etonitazene sobre la actividad de las neuronas respiratorias en el perro y el mono. Las neuronas inspiratorias responden con cese total de su actividad y las neuronas expiratorias responden con una descarga de actividad contínua hasta la muerte del animal.
