Summary
Ca-metabolism is investigated in the teeth and bones of rats by means of the radioactive isotope Ca45. Rates of Ca-content and -turnover are given and a new determination of the halflife of Ca45 is made. Even 1 min. after injection, all the Ca is bound to blood-proteins from whence it is extracted by the body at different velocities which can be determined.
