La respiration de la levure de boulangerie en milieu glucose-phosphate est inhibée par la trypaflavine, le bleu de methylène, le violet de cristal. Cette inhibition disparaît du moins partiellement par addition d'acide nucléique, d'acide adénylique et d'A.T.P.
