Einfluß der Quellung auf die mechanische Relaxation von Polyäthylenterephthalat

Zusammenfassung

Durch dynamisch-mechanische Messungen im α-Relaxationsgebiet vom Polyäthylenterephthalat wurde der Einfluß der Quellung auf die Einfriertemperatur und den Elastizitätsmodul untersucht. Es zeigt sich, daß die Einfriertemperatur nicht immer linear mit der Quellmittelkonzentration zunimmt. Quellung und anschließende Entquellung hat die Erniedrigung des bei der Einfriertemperatur auftretenden Speichermoduls zur Folge, was auf eine Verminderung der Spannungen der Ketten in den nichtkristallinen Bereichen hinweist.

Summary

The influence of swelling on the glass transition temperature and the modulus of elasticity of polyethylenterephthalate is investigated by means of dynamic mechanical measurements. It is shown that the glass temperture does not decrease linearly with increasing concentration of the swelling agent. Swelling followed by deswelling causes a decrease of the elastic modulus measured at the glass transition temperature. This indicates that the tension of the chains in the noncrystalline regions has become smaller.
