Zwei sympatrische, nahverwandte Fledermausarten,Tylonycteris pachypus (Temminck) undT. robustula Thomas, besitzen 46 beziehungsweise 32 Chromosomen, was offenbar den Robertson'schen Translokationen zuzuschreiben ist.
