On a modified differential approximation method in radiative gas dynamics

Nell'ambito di un modello generale di gas radiante, si prova che, applicando una versione modificata del metodo di approssimazione differenziale, è possibile determinare completamente la distribuzione di potenza irradiata. Inoltre, adottando un modello semplificato per la descrizione degli effetti radiativi, si mostra che questa versione del metodo di approssimazione differenziale consente una più accurata determinazione del campo di sforzi radiativi.

Summary

For a general model of radiating gas, by use of a modified differential approximation method, it is proved that the distribution of irradiated power can be completely determined. In the framework of a simplified gas model, it is shown that the same modified version of the differential approximation method leads to an improved discription of the radiative stresses.
