Transrectal prostatic biopsy

A simple technique with a new biopsy needle

Abstract

A very simple method of transrectal prostatic biopsy with a new disposable needle is described. The advantages of the transrectal over the transperineal approach are: it is safer, more precise, requires no anaesthesia and can be performed on outpatients.
