Abstract
Heminephrectomy has been performed in six cases of horseshoe kidney. Correlations between the congenital anomaly, the secondary pathologic process and the surgical intervention are discussed. The significance of accurate preoperative diagnosis and adequate roentgenographic procedures are emphasized.
