Summary
-
1.
A simple negative pressure isolator is described which can be used to work with pathogen germs in all laboratories without additional safety precautions.
-
2.
A simple and reliable heating device for the common germtight fibre glass filters used in gnotobiotechnics is described. By this outgoing humid air is prevented from reaching the dewpoint inside the air outlet filter. So the filtermaterial remains dry and germtight.
-
3.
Experiments to prove the effectiveness of the negative pressure isolator with the heated germtight filter and the results are described.
-
4.
Use and maintenance of the negative pressure isolator is described as far as these procedures are different from those of the positive pressure isolator.
-
5.
An isolatorchamber made from plexiglas is shown.
Zusammenfassung
-
1.
-
5.
Eine Isolatorkammer aus Plexiglas wird vorgestellt.
