Abstract

Authors are presenting the results of hematologic, BSR, hexosamin, plasma protein and tuberculin analysis of 287 sarcoid patients. In 32.5 per cent they observed leucopenia and in 19 per cent leucocytosis. Monocytosis was present in 29.6 per cent and eosinophilia in 21.2 per cent. The BSR was accelerated in 21.8 per cent, which expressed not truely the activity of the process. The hexosamin content of blood serum is a more sensible indicator of activity than the BSR. In 67 per cent of the 140 patients, in whom the BSR was less than 15 mm/h, the hexosamin content was increased. According to the paper-electrophoretic analysis the albumin fraction was in 81,5 per cent of the cases decreased. In the majority of cases the gradual increase of globulin fractions could be observed. Skin test with tuberculin was performed in 254 patients. In 57.9 per cent they obtained a negative result.
