Es ist möglich, mit Kulturen von Säugetiercarcinomgeweben in vitro exakte quantitative Untersuchungen anzustellen. Die Abweichung des Wachstums der Hälften einer Kultur unter identischen Bedingungen übersteigt in der Regel nicht 5%.
