Zusammenfassung
Es gelang, einen klonierten L-Stamm (La 1) über mehr als 3 Monate mit Vaccinia-Virus latent zu infizieren. Bei ständiger Virusausscheidung kam es im Verlauf der Infektion nach 2 Monaten zu einem Verlust von durchschnittlich vier Chromosomen. Nach 3 Monaten fanden sich durchschnittlich fünf Chromosomen weniger als in den unbeimpften Kontrollen.
Die Zahl der Chromatid- und Chromosomenbrüche sowie der dizentrischen Chromosomen war deutlich erhöht. Anaphaseadhäsionen waren bei insgesamt 30% der Mitosen gegenüber 5% der Kontrollen vermehrt.
