Determination of the rates of free radical formation in the catalytic decomposition of hydroperoxides

Abstract

Decomposition of 2-hydroperoxy-1, 3-dioxolane initiated by Co(II) and Co(III) acetates has been studied. It has been established that the rates of free radical formation and of catalyst oxidation or reduction are equal. Radical decomposition of hydroperoxide amounts to 7–8%.

Abstract

Изучен распад 2-гидроперокси-1, 3-диоксолана под действием ацетатов Co(II) и Co(III). Показано, что скорость радикалообразования равна скорости окисления или восстановления катализатора. Доля радикального распада равна 7–8%.
