Abstract
Using θ-ray spectroscopic methods relative PK ratios were determined for individual β-transitions in the145Eu decay. Using the energy dependence of the PK values the decay energy QEC was derived to be QEC=2647 +14−10 keV. The corresponding mass excess for145Eu of −78008 (15) keV is in good agreement with recent reaction studies.
