In Eidechsen-Erythroblasten mit Blutungsanämie wurden elektronenmikroskopisch Zellorganellen und eine aktive Pinocytose nachgewiesen bei gleichzeitiger Aktivitätssteigerung der sauren Phosphatase, die durch Eisenzufuhr noch-verstärkt wurde.
