Zusammenfassung
Klinisch wurde mehrfach über die gute therapeutische Wirkung von Podophyllin auf Kehlkopfpapillome berichtet. In Versuchen mit Kehlkopfpapillom-Zellkulturen stellten wir eine Hemmwirkung durch Podophyllin schon in der Konzentration von 0,5% fest. Normale Kehlkopfschleimhaut zeigte bei einem 200 fach stärkeren Podophyllin-Zusatz noch keine Wachstumshemmung in der Kultur, ebensowenig Zellkulturen eines nasalen Cylindroms. Dagegen reagierten die Zellkulturen eines Papilloms aus dem äußere Gehörgang ähnlich empfindlich auf Podophyllin wie Kehlkopfpapillome. Der häufig enttäuschende Effekt des Podophyllins bei der klinischen Anwendung beruht wahrscheinlich darauf, daß das Präparat bei der Oberflächenbehandlung nur zu kurze Zeit einwirkt und dabei zu schnell verdünnt wird.
