Abstract
Quadrupole interaction data recorded by Triplett et al for the C1hTm site in TmF3 are analysed via semi-empirical procedures, one of which employs rank 2 CF parameters derived from the155Gd: GdF3 Mössbauer results of Katila et al. The fitted crystal field interactions are compared with available optical spectroscopy results.
