Summary
In the introduction from the view of evolutionary genetics the possibilities for the evolution of cultivated plants are discussed, in particular with respect to the cultivated tomato. Connected with this, the common characters and the results of segregation of 13 parallel mutations ofLycopersicon esculentum andLycopersicon pimpinellifolium are described.
