Role of gaseous oxygen in butane oxidation on (VO)2P2O7

Abstract

Pulse microcatalytic studies of the catalytic oxidation of butane and the reduction of (VO)2P2O7 have revealed that maleic anhydride forms mainly due to gas phase oxygen. Complete oxidation products are formed at the expense of the oxidation of chemisorbed molecules by lattice oxygen.

Abstract

Импульсным методом исследована каталитическая реакция окисления бутана и восстановления (VO)2P2O7. Показано, что малеиновый ангидрид образуется в основном за счет кислорода газовой фазы. Образование продуктов глубокого окисления происходит за счет окисления хемосорбированных частиц кислородом решетки.
