Kinetics and mechanism of oxidative dehydrodimerization of toluene on Pb−Sn oxide catalyst

Abstract

A stepwise mechanism is suggested for the oxidative dehydrodimerization of toluene on Pb−Sn oxide catalyst, which is consistent with the observed kinetics. The slow step is the interaction of toluene with the catalyst surface leading to the formation of benzyl species.

Предложена стадийная схема механизма окислительной дегидродимеризации толуола на оксидном катализаторе, удовлетворительно описывающая кинетику реакции. Показано, что медленной стадией является взаимодействие толуола с роверхностью катализатора, приводящее к образованию бензильных частиц.
