Effect of water on the selenium catalyzed carbonylation of nitrobenzene to methyl N-phenylcarbamate

Abstract

The water content of the reaction mixture exerts a marked influence on the rate of selenium catalyzed conversion of nitrobenzene to methyl N-phenyl-carbamate.
