Die akute Isoniazid-Vergiftung

Angriffspunkte im Makroorganismus, Symptome und Maßnahmen zur Behandlung

Zusammenfassung

1. Die für eine akute INH-Vergiftung in Frage kommenden Angriffspunkte werden diskutiert und die einzelnen Reaktionsmöglichkeiten abgewogen.

2. Über die bisher erzielten Erfolge bei der kausalen und symptomatischen Beeinflussung der experimentellen INH-Intoxikation wird berichtet.

3. Die seit 1957 bekannt gewordenen INH-Vergiftungen werden mitgeteilt. Soweit in der Literatur zugänglich, werden die wichtigsten Daten für Ablauf und Behandlung der Vergiftung tabellarisch aufgeführt.

4. Die sich daraus für eine erfolgversprechende Behandlung ergebenden Maßnahmen werden besprochen.

5. Die Prognose einer akuten INH-Vergiftung ist auch bei hohen Dosen als relativ günstig anzusehen, wenn rasch energische Maßnahmen ergriffen werden.

Summary

1. Possible mechanisms of action of acute isoniazid poisoning are discussed; an evaluation of the present known biochemical reactions involved in acute toxic effects of the drug is given.

2. Results in experimental causal and symptomatic treatment of acute isoniazid intoxication are reviewed.

3. Isoniazid intoxications published since 1957 are collected and tabulated with regard to toxicological and available information on treatment.

4. Measures for effective treatment derived from experimental and clinical experience are discussed.

5. Prognosis of acute isoniazid intoxication in man is considered to be relatively favourable, even when massive doses of the drug have been ingested, provided that consequent and rational treatment can be started immediately.
