Summary
The investigation of mutual precipitating effects of bauxite components was performed in two-component systems, consisting of either aluminium hydroxide sol or ferric hydroxide sol and silicic acid sol.
One of two sols was always applied “in statu nascendi” and another one as a “ready-made” sol.
It has been found, that the sols mentioned above possess hydrophobic character when they are “in statu nascendi”.
Under given conditions, the ratio of the most optimal concentrations of two opposite sols was established.
The influence of ion valence, concentration, charge density of sols, and a possibility of the collisions of particles was discussed as well.
