Abstract

Metaplasia is a disturbing factor in the postoperative regeneration, but does not play any role in the development of prostatic carcinoma.

It was observed that heterohormone treatment applied after prostatectomy had no influence on the development of prostatic carcinoma. In occult prostatic carcinomas hormone therapy and orchidectomy are suggested. Our data show that the survival of these patients is longer and the appearance of metastases can be reduced.
