Abstract

Urodynamic studies of the lower urinary tract were performed in females with urinary incontinence. The studies were found to contribute to the diagnostic accuracy as well as to the differentiation between the urge- and stress types of incontinence. The diagnostic importance of the intravesical pressure profile is emphasized, analysis of the “active phase”, in addition to the values of maximum urethral closure pressure and functional profile length, being regarded as highly informative.
