Abstract

Electric stimulation of the urinary bladder restores normal micturition, promotes vesical contraction, prevents vesico-ureteral reflux, and, in general, normalizes conditions of the urinary tract. Radio-frequency stimulation in cases of vesical atonia seems to be a promising method for the restoration of normal micturition. A number of problems have to be solved before a general adoption of the method.
