Abstract

Observations in uremic cases, in which renal surgery was carried out in local hypothermia using the perfusion method or local surface cooling, are reported in the light of experimental and clinical data. The protective value of regional renal hypothermia enabling major life-saving consrvative interventions to be performed even in advanced renal failure is emphasiezed.
