Abstract
Fifty-two Boari ureter reimplantations performed on 46 patients were subjected to follow-up examinations to determine whether there was vesico-ureteral reflux. On the average, after two years only twenty cases could be subjected to a reflux cystogram owing to the fact that most of the cases involved malignant tumours. Reflux was observed in 10% (the figure varied between 0 and 70 per cent in relevant literature). The significance of the method especially in the treatment of ureteral damage resulting from intensive therapy of carcinoma of the collum uteri is emphasized and the reflux is evaluated in connection with further measures.
