Heterogeneous vapor phase oxidation of toluene over V2O2·SnO2 catalyst

Abstract

The vapor phase oxidation of toluene over V2O5·SnO2 catalyst was studied in a microreactor operating at atmospheric pressure. The overall kinetic analysis indicated the oxidation reaction to be first order with a frequency factor of 1.88×108 s−1 and an activation energy of 168.5 kJ mol−1. The catalysts with both V2O5 and V6O13 were especially active and selective. The composition of SnO2 phase was found to be V0.03Sn0.97O2·SnO2 weakens the short V=O bond.

Abstract

Парофазное окисление толуола на катализаторе V2O5n·SnO2 было исследовано в микрореакторе, работающем при давлении 1 атмосфера. Суммарный кинетический анализ указывает на то, что реакция окисления имеет первыи порядок с частотным фактором 1,88×108 сек−1 и энергией активации 168,5 кдж/моль. Катализаторы с обоими V2O5 и V6O13 были особенно активными и селективными. Состав фазы SnO2 может быть представлех формулой V0.03Sn0.07O2·SnO2 ослабляет короткую связь V=O.
