Abstract
Vitamin E like radicals as intermediates and quinone as end-product have been observed upon the irradiation at λ>480 nm of cationic dye and β-naphthol solutions in CH3OH. With the replacement of polar CH3OH by non-polar C6H6 the transformation rate drastically decreases.
