A kinetic study of the reaction of substituted benzenethiols with pertechnetate

Abstract

The kinetics of the reaction of pertechnetate with a series of para-substituted benzenethiols have been studied. The reaction follows simple second order kinetics. The rate of reaction decreases as the substituent becomes more electron-withdrawing. The kinetic data suggest that the reaction involves nucleophilic attack of a benzenethiol molecule on technetium.

Abstract

Была изучена кинетика реакции пертехнетата с п-замещенными тиофенолами. Реакция протекает по закону второго порядка. Скорость реакции уменьшается с увеличением злектроноакцепторного характера заместителя. Согласно кинетическим данным, реакция протекает через нуклеофильную атаку молекулы тиофенола на технеций.
