Abstract
Young's modulus was measured in rapidly quenched ribbons of Fe44Ni38B18 annealed at a rate of 5 K/min up to different temperatures. An oscillating behavior was observed. Samples annealed up to temperatures that correspond to maxima and minima values of Young's modulus were studied with Mössbauer spectroscopy in order to correlate the macroscopic parameter with the hyperfine field distribution.
