Glass forming tendency in the FeBSn system

Abstract

The glass forming tendency in the Fe-B-Sn system is studied. Samples were prepared by melt quenching and analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The glasses obtained were also analyzed by57 Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy. Mössbauer spectra were fitted using hyperfine field distributions.
