Effect of reduction temperature on hydrogen adsorption capability of platinum group metals supported on group II a oxides

Abstract

The influence of reduction temperature on hydrogen adsorption capability of platinum group metals supported on beryllium, magnesium and calcium oxides were studied. The Pt/BeO system appeared to show a strong suppression of its ability to chemisorb hydrogen after high temperature reduction. Remarkable differences in the adsorption behavior of supported Pt, Rh and Ir, were found.

Abstract

Исследовано влияние температуры восстановления на способность металлов группы платины, нанесенных на окиси бериллия, магния и кальция, к адсорбции водорода. В системе Pt/BeO, после ее восстановления при высокой температуре, наблудалось сильное уменьшение хемосорбции водорода. Наблюдаются значительные различия в адсорбционном поведении нанесенных, Pt, Rh и Ir.
