Kinetic coupling and selectivity pattern in consecutive heterogeneous catalytic reactions

Abstract

The kinetic coupling in the case of complex coupled catalytic reactions leads to substantial changes in selectivity. The consecutive catalytic reaction mechanism of type A(+B)→C(+B)→D is considered and it is demonstrated that the selectivity pattern is determined by the pressure of B.
