Oxidative dehydrogenation of tetrahydrothiophene to thiophene on metal sulfides

Abstract

Dehydration tetrahydrothiophane the presence of air oxygen over MoS2 at 365–380°C may produce thiophene in a yield of 77% and selectivity of 90–100% without benzene admixtures.
