Abstract
The kinetics of replacement of 4,4′-bipyridine, (4,4′bpy), by cyanide in [Fe(CN)5(4,4′bpy)]3− at 298 K have been studies in various isodielectric binary aqueous mixtures. The experimental data are well correlated through the following equation:
where Am, Bm ans Gexc are the acidity vector, the basicity vector and the excess Gibbs free energy of the mixture, respectively.
