Homogeneous catalytic oligomerization of terminal alkynes and metathesis of internal alkynes using group VIB metal carbonyl based complexes

Terminal alkynes oligomerize in the presence of group VIB metal carbonyl catalysts when they are thermally activated, but internal ones undergo metathesis instead.
