Abstract

A mathematical—physical model is proposed for the electric fields and currents of ionospheric plasma, which is capable of describing the altitude variations of these electrodynamic parameters. The results obtained by solving of the model problem are analyzed. It is shown that the distribution of the electric fields and currents of ionospheric plasma has significant inhomogeneities that must be taken into account in solving problems related to the electrodynamics of ionospheric plasma.
