Abstract
Thermogravimetry has been used to investigate the thermal decomposition kinetics of chloro-, bromo- and acetato complexes of 2-phenyl-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxalideneaniline with copper(II). The decomposition process consists of two stages for all the complexes. Kinetic parameters were evaluated using the Coats-Redfern equation. Furthermore, the results of the kinetic study have been correlated with the catalytic activity of these complexes in the oxidation of hydroquinone with dioxygen.
