Effect of H2S on the sintering of small particles of iron oxide

Abstract

The sintering of finely dispersed, supported iron oxide particles in H2S has been studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and magnetization measurements. Particles treated in air at 873 K, are shown to sinter at much lower temperatures.

Abstract

Спекание мелкодисперсных нанесённых частиц окиси железа в атмосфере H2S изучено методами мессбауэровской спектроскопии, рентгеновской дифракции и измерениями макроскопической намагниченности. Было найдено, что мелкодисперсная окись железа, полуенная прокаливанием на воздухе при 873 K, в атмосфере H2S спекается при более низкой температуре.
