Abstract
Thermal treatment of polycrystalline V2O5 is shown to affect the character of its activation in catalytic oxidation of naphtalene. The centers of maximum catalytic activity are localized on the interface of the oxidized-reduced phases formed by the reduction of the (010) plane of V2O5.
