Abstract
Sulfurization of molybdena-alumina catalysts has been found to depend on the configuration of their molybdenum compounds. At a sulfurization temperature of 673 K, S/Mo ∼ 2 and ∼ 1 for Mo compounds of octahedral [Mo(O)] and tetrahedral [Mo(T)] configuration, respectively.
