Effect of rare-earth additives on the properties of the Pt/γ−Al2O3 catalyst II. Activity of Pt/γ−Al2O3 catalysts modified by rare-earth elements

Abstract

The effect of rare-earth additives (La, Ce, Nd, Gd, Yb, Lu) on Pt/γ−Al2O3 catalysts was determined for the conversion of n-hexane in the presence of hydrogen, and for the complete oxidation of isobutene. In n-hexane conversion, the rare-earth additives reduce the activity in hydrogenolysis and increase in dehydrocyclization. In complete oxidation, rare-earth additives increase the activity, provided that the catalysts are properly activated.

Abstract

Влияние добавок редкоземельных элементов (La, Ce, Nd, Gd, Yb, Lu) к катализатору Pt/γ−Al2O3 определялось в реакции превращения н-гексана в присутствии водорода и в реакции полного окисления изобутена. В конверсии н-гексана редкоземельные добавки уменьшают активность катализатора в гидрогенолизе, но увеличивают его активность в дегидроциклизации. В случае же полного окисления добавки повышают активность, если катализатор активирован соответствующим образом.
