Abstract

This paper presents some of IFP's results in the field of catalysis by metals. Selective hydrogenation of unsatured C4 hydrocarbons and hydrogenation or dehydrogenation of different C4 oxygenated molecules are presented. New preparations and the help of new characterization technics have allowed the development of new industrial catalysts.
