Saprophragma: A new hyphomycete from soils of Marathwada

Summary

A new Hyphomycete, isolated from cultivated black soil of Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India is described. Saprophragmaacerosiae gen. et. sp. nov. consists of non-differentiated hyphae with solitary, hyaline, lateral, acropetally arranged phragmospores. This genus has been placed in the family Moniliaceae (MucidinaeSacc.).
