The genus ctenomyces Eidam

  • Published:
Mycopathologia et mycologia applicata Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The genusCtenomyces Eidam is reviewed and various reported species and isolates are discussed.Ctenomyces is limited to a single species,C. serratus Eidam. The doctrine of the synonymity ofCtenomyces andTrichophyton is reviewed and rejected as false. Cultural observations on several isolates ofC. serratus are reported and a composite description of the species is presented.
