Summary
The paper deals with the description of three new ascomycetes collected on dead twigs ofCassia fistula Linn. These arePleospora cassiae sp. nov.,Othiella cassiae sp. nov., andDiatrypella cassiae sp. nov. These are described as new to science on the basis of host specificity and comparative morphological studies. Curiously enough the species ofPleospora was found to be associated with a conidial stageAscochyta Lib.
