Abstract
Description of the morphology of yeast and mycelial forms ofParacoccidioides brasiliensis observed in the electron scanning microscope.
Mycelial forms appeared as budding bamboo-like cylinders with multiple septations, yeasts, as spherical masses surrounded by several spherical or bottle-shaped sprouting blastospores; single or catenulated small spherical buds were observed free or attached to the fungal surface.
Fungi treated with pooled sera of South American Blastomycosis patients did not show any significant superficial deposits.
