Summary
The horse is a suitable animal for producing heterologous antilymphocyte sera. By immunizing over 8–12 weeks a high antibody titer can be obtained. In spite of high purity of the immunizing antigen, the immunserum is not cell-specific. Some of the unspecific antibody effects can be absorbed in vitro.
